As we turn the page and kick off 2021, we wanted to look back at some of the highlights from the last year.
The year started off with another great trip to Las Vegas for Affiliate Summit West, MailCon, the Mailer Meetup, and the Affiliate Ball. We tag-teamed with our friends at LashBack to present at MailCon for the first time and we followed that up with another presentation at Everflow’s client event that took place the next day. Little did we know that these would be the last in-person industry events we would attend in 2020.
While we were in Las Vegas, we also began what we planned as a year-long program of video content, with partner interviews and some other fun footage of the OPTIZMO team meeting with clients and other friends in the industry. While we weren’t able to continue filming throughout the year, we truly made the most of all the great content we shot in Vegas. What we initially thought might just be a few initial videos turned into a full video series with regular video releases until late summer.
It’s hard to pick highlights from the video series, as every release received such great response, but we are particularly proud of our Sizzle Reel and possibly the email compliance industry’s very first music video.
When we weren’t spending time editing video content 50 different ways, we continued our commitment to delivering some useful thought leadership in the form of guides, reports, and white papers. We authored four large content releases over the course of 2020.
- Our annual Opt-Out Infographic
- A Brand Integrity Guide with our partners at CAKE
- An Opt-Out Domain and IP Address Management Guide
- The Guide to Results Driving Email Marketing for 2021 with our partners at Everflow
At the same time, we were ramping up our overall editorial calendar with regular articles in Forbes, Business2Community, OnlyInfluencers, and The Performance Marketing Association blog, among other publications and websites.
We were thrilled to have OPTIZMO and members of our team recognized by various publications and organizations with awards like Entrepreneur of the Year, The Corporate Excellence Awards, Fast Growing Companies to Watch, and Inspiring Leaders to Watch.
Our development team was also hard at work enhancing our products and services throughout the year.
We launched ACCESS, providing our advertisers and networks with enhanced data privacy and mailers with a more streamlined way to access suppression files.
We continued developing our Opt-Out Domain and IP Address services, making this an even more valuable tool for our clients.
Some of the most exciting projects our developers worked on in 2020 were actually designed to set the foundation for some new products and features that will be coming in the early part of 2021 – so stay tuned!
We are beyond excited for 2021. We may not be traveling to Vegas to kick off the New Year, but we will be presenting at MailCon Virtual in January. We also plan to get back out into the real world and start meeting with clients and partners in March at Lead Generation World! We’re also hoping to make a few trips out to key locations like San Diego, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and New York.
