As the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) effective date comes ever closer (May 28, 2018) many companies around the world are still working to understand how the new regulation impacts their businesses.  With that in mind, DMN published an article covering the impacts of GDPR on US Brands.

The article includes a quick overview of the basics of the regulation, what constitutes personally identifiable information (hint – it includes things you might not think of as PII), what types of consent is needed to use data for marketing purposes, and how data must be processed and stored, among other topics.

It’s a great primer on the GDPR for US companies and well worth the read.  Check out the full story from DMN on how GDPR may impact US brands.
