The OPTIZMO team recently returned from our annual trek to Las Vegas for a bunch of great industry events, including Affiliate Summit West, MailCon, and the Mailer Meetup. We love kicking off every year with this amazing triple-header of industry events and 2020 was one for the record books as we connected with so many of our clients, partners and friends in the industry over 5 days.

Highlights
We were the official Compliance Sponsor at MailCon for the third year in a row and also exhibited. In a short time MailCon has grown into the premier email marketing event in the affiliate and performance marketing arena and we’re always excited to take part in the show. This year was the biggest and best edition of the show yet at a great new venue (Aria Resort & Casino) with more content than ever. For our team, it was definitely the most productive and valuable MailCon yet. We’re already looking forward to New York!
We also picked up our involvement in MailCon this year, with our head of marketing, Tom Wozniak, presenting along with our partners at LashBack titled Email Optimized: How Best Practices and Analytics can Drive Performance. We’ll post a video of the session along with a separate blog post in the upcoming weeks.
Following MailCon, we continued our sponsorship of the email marketing industry’s most popular networking event, the Mailer Meetup. It’s been a pleasure sponsoring this event for the past few years and getting a chance to meet with so many successful email marketers. Thanks to the team at Addicted Affiliate for always putting on such a great event!
How amazing is it that this year also marked the 50th Affiliate Summit show! The OPTIZMO crew has been just about all of them over the past 10 years and some members of our team attended them as far back as 2006. It was great to celebrate the 50th with Missy Ward, Shawn Collins and the whole Affiliate Summit team! The event itself was another great show, with tons of content, exhibitors, and networking opportunities.
We sponsored the Affiliate Ball for the first time in several years, gathering a host of Affiliate Marketing OGs at our tables for an epic last night in Las Vegas.
We also brought a videographer to Las Vegas to record testimonials and interviews with some of our great clients and partners. Stay tuned for some great video content coming soon!
For us, one of the most valuable aspects of these events is the opportunity to spend time with our clients, partners, and members of our affiliate marketing family. We feel privileged to work in an industry with so many smart, funny, and just all around great people. Looking forward to seeing everyone again at the next event!
